Mary Poppins said it best— “In every job that must be done, there’s an element of fun. Find the fun and SNAP the jobs a game!”

SNAP Event Planning and Design is all about leading with Strategy, iNtentianlity, Authenticity, and Personality. We start with WHY and make sure that it’s fun, but also purposeful. At the end of the day an event is a celebration- a wedding, a team gathering, a fundraiser, a baby shower, an anniversary- all of these are meant to be celebrations of where we’ve been and what’s to come, and the goal of SNAP is to always make sure that your event is fun and full of YOU.

Who we are

Makenzie Skinner is the owner and lead planner of SNAP Event Planning and Design. Makenzie planned her first real event- her sister’s bridal shower and wedding- at 15, and from there was hooked. Not one to consider herself a creative growing up, events were where she could thrive and let her creativity flow, volunteering to run every event that a highschooler was able to- homecoming, prom, reunions, birthdays and so on. It wasn’t until college where Makenzie realized that event planning could be more than a hobby, and began exploring the career aspect. As the Director of Events for her college’s Campus Activities Board, Makenzie oversaw all of the different aspects of event planning and execution. Following graduation, she entered the world of hotels and event operations, and is frequently heard saying that the best planners got their start in ops. She has since done events for corporate groups and non-profits, including fundraising, social events such as birthdays, anniversary parties, bridal and baby showers, (and even bachelor and bachelorette parties!) venue design consultation, and over 500 weddings (and counting!) Whatever you need on your day- we’ve done it, and can do it again.
